Background

Skye Autumn, the elite soldier and over the top confident badass of Santum 1. Assault Rifle in hand and a wry smile on her lips she is known as the one to single-handedly defended the Cores from massive hordes of bioluminescent alien creatures known as Lumes.

Growing up as the army brat daughter to one of the first Core Guardians on LOEK III she was always meant to follow that same path. Seeing her father being celebrated as a hero of the people in Elysion One inspired her to give everything and more during her training. Brought up in the sheltered environment of the Elysion Research Facility she spent all her time perfecting her skills. She cared for nothing except becoming the top ranked prospect in Guardian training. She succeeded. However, right before her graduation, her father was injured during a mission later known as "the Renfield Incident". He died shortly after. Skye’s reaction was violent and she quickly turned from being the perfect student into a merciless, patronizing ass towards people below her skill-level. She also showed little or no respect for authority which could have resulted in having her Core Guardian status removed if not for the fact that she had such raw talent in battle. Her bad attitude is simply tolerated as long as she keeps killing off Lumes for the sake of Elysion One. Skye lives for the adrenaline rush of the perfect kill and enjoys battle as if it was all a game to her. The rumour say her crazed laugh after a successful mission even makes her commanders feel uneasy. Skye herself is very well aware of her bad reputation and makes no attempt to improve it. Why would she?

Gameplay

In gameplay terms Skye is very versatile. With her natural ability to double jump she has a very easy time to navigate the maze to get in the right positions as well as fall back when she has to. Skye favours the Assault Rifle, her own trusty weapon. In general she likes rapid fire weapons because of how the Lumes twitch for each hit she scores. She likes it so much, in fact, that she gets a small damage bonus for a few seconds every time she damages a Lume. Once the damage boost is maxed she has a few options. She can either keep shooting and keep the boost at its peak or she can get brutal and finish with a nice Assault Grenade or switch to a hard-hitting weapon for some nice burst damage.

That’s it for the first character spotlight for Sanctum 2!

I was scared there too for a minute. Glad to see Skye still has a pulse. That new concept art is pretty sweet all-in-all.

No worries, Skye ain't undead. It's just the colour-filter on the image that is deliberately blueish gray in all its tones. Check the concept art on the forums to see more of her where the colours aren't so extreme :)

She looks a bit un-dead... What happened to her?

Not bad, but I kinda miss the old design though.. Any chance for extra costumes maybe?

Yay, more info is always great. :D Just hoping that you don't make us rewrite the entire Wiki at some point. :p

Majeflyer, honestly, reading the fanfiction on the forums made a whole LOT of things fall into place in the Sanctum storyline. The Renfield Incident is named through your fanfic and we'll see what it means in the future I'm sure.. :3 We care about our fans imagination, so we stick it into the game!

should understand my own refernce before i make it... oh well. he wasn't a "thrall" more paid off, by a certain character... still it fits in to my own timeline.

I am SOO happy you implemented that :D, also do you understand the implications of calling something the Renfield incident? Renfield was a mind controled thrall in a certain horror novel by brahm Stoker... SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
