We need programmers for Satisfactory!

Coffee Stain Studios is hiring programmers! Can you do things like this?

If not, uhh...

About Coffee Stain Studios

We are still a small-ish studio, and we’d like to stay that way. The games we make are the games we want to play. And right now we want to play:

So you’ll have to be interested in creating a game like Satisfactory too.

Micromanaging is not our style, so everyone needs to take responsibility over their own work. We want everyone to feel like they’re contributing to the end product and thrive towards always becoming better at what they do.

Coffee Stain Studios is located in Skövde, Sweden. The city is one of the most gamer-centric ones in the whole country. People here work with games, Volvo, the military, or at the hospital. No exceptions. We’ve only got like three bars or something, but the train let’s you go to both Gothenburg and Stockholm quite easily if you’re into that. It's a huge plus if you're already here or don't mind moving here. We might not mind if you work from home from time to time, but we want you to be able to be here in physical form for the most part.

We believe diversity is a good thing and that creativity thrives when different backgrounds and perspectives are brought to the table. So if you’re any sort of minority in the game industry then we definitely encourage you to apply.

Programmer Role Description

Our current programming team is experienced and have worked together for a long time. To get the chance to be part of this great team you need to be a down to earth, a nice person, and a darn good programmer. The programming team works tightly together, in an open and honest environment where everyone understands that creating bugs, resolving them, and learning from that is all a part of being a programmer.

As an ideal candidate, you enjoy programming with a high variety in your work tasks. Your task is not only to actually create the game but enabling and helping other disciplines as well. Be it animation, art, design or sound.

If you’re a Junior Programmer
You’ve probably tried making stuff in UE4 since you’re eager to learn and try out new things. You might have had a programming gig before or gone to a school which teaches you those things. Or maybe you’ve dwelled in your basement and taught yourself.

If you’re a Senior Programmer
You have already worked many years in the games industry and you are familiar and comfortable with agile development. We are currently working in Unreal Engine 4, which means you will be working in both C++ and blueprint ( visual script ) and you should be familiar in doing so.

Perks of being a Coffee Stainer

We offer competitive salaries with excellent benefits. We try to follow the Collective Agreement as close as we can which means payments to your pension fund and insurances. We also believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind so everybody gets time off to work out. Also every 2nd Friday we buy candy that you can eat.

As an employee you will also have creative time every other week which lets your inner passion blossom. You will also have influence over your own work and taking initiative is encouraged. This goes for the projects we work on as well as life at the office in general.

On top of all that you get to work with an amazing team in an amazing office.
